Leader: Tremble, O earth, in the presence of your God. It is an awesome thing to be surprised by God.
All: When we sit at table, there is a presence with us. When we break bread, the love of Christ is revealed.
Leader: We are invited to the mountain for a feast. We are lifted up to see the bounty of our God.
All: God wipes away the tears from our faces. The disgrace we have known is taken away.
Leader: Let us be glad together, rejoicing in salvation. Let us meet one another with sincerity and truth.
All: Let us not be strangers to one another. God calls us into the family of faith.

Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
Righteous God, your church is less than faithful in our words and actions, as individuals and as a body. We want to represent the risen Christ, but we forget that Jesus loved the unlovable, forgave the unforgivable, and welcomed sinners to eat with him. We set standards and limits, and break bread only with those who “qualify”. We fail to recognize your presence in people who are different from us. We lack passion for discipleship. Forgive us and renew your church in the light of your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Pardon Pastor
My dear children, I write this to you that you might not sin, but if anyone does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense – Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2
*Hymn of the Month “Awesome God” Insert
Our Giving to the Lord Pastor
All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. We give out of the legacy of the early church in thanksgiving for all God’s gifts.
