Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
Holy God, on this Day of Resurrection we celebrate the new life you create in us through the forgiveness of sin. We confess to you our shortcomings and disobedience, trusting that you will help us leave behind the works of darkness. You promise to hear our call and answer in grace and mercy while we are still speaking. We pray in the powerful name of Christ our Lord that you will erase our sins and remember them no more. Amen.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Pardon Pastor
On this mountain, the Lord has destroyed the shroud that enfolds all nations; he has swallowed up death forever. The Sovereign Lord wipes away the tears from all faces; he forgives our sin; he removes the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes!
