Leader: Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his steadfast love endures forever.
All: In my anguish I cried to the Lord, and he answered by setting me free. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. The Lord is my helper.
Leader: The Lord is my strength and my song: he has become my salvation.
All: Open for me the gates of righteousness; I will enter and give thanks to the Lord. This is the gate of the Lord through which the righteous may enter.
Leader: The Lord is God; he has made his light shine upon us. With boughs in hand, join the festal procession up to the horns of the altar.
All: Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. From the house of the Lord, we bless you.

Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
Gracious God, we are not worthy to come before you. Too often we forget the way of humility. In fear, we deny you. In self-interest, we disobey you. In pride and ambition, we compromise our beliefs. We dedicate our lives, energy, and passion to false gods. We avoid suffering for the sake of others or for your glory. Hear our prayers of repentance and forgive our sins. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Pardon Pastor
With Jesus, we trust in God and in his unfailing love: “I will not die, but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done. I will give you thanks, for you answered me: you have become my salvation!” Psalm 118:17,21
Scene 2: “Jesus Is Anointed at Bethany” Mark 14:1-11
Our Giving to the Lord Pastor
We will not always have opportunity to serve Jesus on this earth: we must do what we can, while we can, spending ourselves and our resources to glorify his name before the world. How else will others learn of God’s unfailing love?
