Call to Confession

Unison Prayer of Confession

Gracious God, like Jonah, we sometimes are jealous of what we share in this family of God. We know that others long for what we know and experience, yet we do not answer Jesus’ call to reach out with grace. Forgive our reluctance to open our doors and our hearts to others. We repent of wrong priorities. Forgive our hesitation to love those we consider different from ourselves. Help us to be loyal disciples of Christ, undivided in devotion and committed to His mission.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Silent Prayer of Confession

Assurance of Pardon                                                                                Pastor

One thing God has spoken, two things have I heard: that you, O God, are strong, and that you, O Lord, are loving (Psalm 62:11). The One who calls us to this place also calls us to reconciliation through grace. God will not deny a repentant heart or an open spirit. Because we are forgiven, let us resolve to walk in the new way made known to us in Christ.
