*Call to Worship Responsive Reading, Isaiah 25:1, 4, 6-8
Leader: O Lord, you are our God. We will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things, things planned long ago.
People: You have been a refuge for the poor and the needy, a shelter from the storm, and a shade from the heat.
Leader: On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine and the best of meats.
People: On this mountain, he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples; he will swallow up death forever.
All: The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. This is the Lord in whom we trust and in whom we rejoice!

Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
God of all mercy, you have planted within us a desire for righteousness and honor, yet we are often distracted and fearful, failing to trust your goodness and wisdom. We are fascinated by pastimes and possessions that take our attention and resources away from the life you have planned for us. We seek forgiveness so that we may dwell in your presence in joy and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
