Leader: Everything as it moves, now and then, here and there, makes pauses.
All: The bird, as it flies, stops in one place to make its nest and in another to find its rest in flight.
Leader: In the same way, God pauses, leaving the touch of the Holy Spirit in all of creation. We, too, have the touch of the Holy Spirit in our beings.
All: God calls us to rest in him. Let us pause and listen for the voice of God in our hearts, that he may direct our lives.

Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
Gracious and forgiving God, you know us and love us beyond anything we can comprehend. We ask you to cover our sins with your grace and forgiveness: hear, forgive, do, repair. Hear the words of peace we fail to speak; forgive the words we speak in error; do the acts of love and justice that we leave undone; repair the damage we have done to others. We repent of sins -- past and present -- that have caused pain. Look upon us with your mercy and truth, rather than according to our own words and deeds. Remove our fears and give us a new vision of life in you. Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on us! Amen.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Pardon Pastor
The Lord redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in Him (Psalm 34:22). The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy (Psalm 126:3).

Our Giving to the Lord Pastor
How does God’s love abide in anyone who has the world’s goods and sees a brother or sister in need, yet refuses to help? Children of God, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action. In gratitude for all God’s good gifts, we bring our offerings today.
