*Call to Worship: Responsive Reading from Psalm 8
Leader: O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! Your praise reaches up to the heavens; it is sung by children and babies; you are secure, stopping all who oppose you.
All: When I look at the sky, which you have made, at the moon and the stars, which you have set in their places, I wonder, “What are human beings that you think of us, mere mortals that you care for us?”
Leader: Yet you made us a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned us with glory and honor.
All: In steadfast love and faithfulness, you made us rulers over everything you made; you have placed us over all creation. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
Almighty God, we are called to confess our sins that we might be forgiven and reconciled to you and to each other. We admit our role in the brokenness of your creation. We have disobeyed your commands, violated your covenant with us, and forsaken your ways. We have denied our need for you and brought pain and suffering to those you have called us to love. We come to you as penitent children, seeking to come home. Hear our prayers, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Pardon Pastor
Jesus is the author of our salvation. He came to earth as human so that through God’s grace he should die for everyone. He is now crowned with glory and honor… he purifies us from sin and leads us to salvation as his own family.
