Leader: The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.

All: The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.

Leader: The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

All: The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart.

Leader: The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

All: The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever.

Leader: The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous…by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

All: May the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, our Rock and our Redeemer.

Call to Confession

Unison Prayer of Confession

Almighty God, you have revealed yourself to us in the light of creation, in the radiance of your perfect law, and in the shining love of Jesus Christ. Yet we continue to turn away from the knowledge you offer; we disobey your commands; we ignore your rebuke. Forgive us for words spoken in anger; for promises made without the intention of faithfulness; for judgements made in haste; for thoughts unregulated by discipline. Forgive our complacent hearts and our wayward choices. We cry out, “O Lord, save us!” In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Silent Prayer of Confession

Assurance of Pardon                                                                                Pastor

The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The Lord protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me. For you, O Lord, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living.
