Leader: Hallelujah! With all our hearts we give thanks to the Lord in the gathering of the upright and in the congregation of his people.

All: Great are the works of the Lord; they are sought and studied by all who delight in them. Majestic and glorious are his acts, and his righteousness stands forever.

Leader: The Lord is gracious and merciful. He provides for those who revere him and will remember his covenant forever.

All: The works of his hands are faithful and right; all his decrees are trustworthy, standing firm forever.

Leader: God sent redemption to his people and commands his covenant forever.

All: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have good understanding. Holy and awe-inspiring is his name!

Call to Confession

Unison Prayer of Confession

Faithful and loving God, how can we say we want wisdom, when we foolishly squander the gifts you give us? How can we claim to follow you, when we walk the slippery roads of the world? Have mercy on us when our choices, words, and actions show us to be unwise and unfaithful. Turn our greed to gratitude, our pettiness to praise, and our selfishness to grace. Forgive our sins, as we forgive others, that we may come to a place of blessing and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Silent Prayer of Confession

Assurance of Pardon                                                                                Pastor

Jesus said, “For my flesh is the real food; my blood is the real drink. The living Father sent me, and because of him I live. In the same way, whoever eats me will live because of me. This then is the bread that came down from heaven… Those who eat this bread will live forever.” In Jesus Christ, our sins are forgiven and we are restored to God forever. Amen.                                            John 6:57-58 GNT

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going-to-work and walking-around life – and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.                                                                           Romans 12:1 TM
