Leader: O Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty!

All: He makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind. He makes winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants.

Leader: How many are your works, O Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures; these all look to you to give them their food at the proper time.

All: When you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things. When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to dust.

Leader: When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the earth. May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works.

All: We will sing to the Lord all our lives. May our meditations be pleasing to him, as we rejoice in the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul!

Call to Confession

Unison Prayer of Confession

Mighty God, when your face is hidden from us, we lose sight of what is important. We are weak because we focus on the daily pursuits of the world rather than on your power and presence. Our self-centeredness dries up our bones, and we lose hope. Call us out of the graves in which we have chosen to live; deep ruts keep us from knowing the fullness of life you reveal as we

welcome your Holy Spirit to live in us. Forgive our sins and revive our spirits! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Silent Prayer of Confession

Assurance of Pardon                                                                                Pastor

In this hope, the gift of Christ, we are saved. God’s Spirit has been poured out on all flesh. The Spirit intercedes for us and guides us into all Truth. Through the flame of the Spirit and the love of God, we are restored to fullness of life and empowered to serve God’s will on earth.

All people are works of the Holy God, created in His wisdom, sustained in His love, and made one in Him to serve his kingdom. Our offerings today support the spread of Christ’s gospel message throughout the world and fulfill our call to “go and make disciples of all nations”.
