Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
Almighty God, we lay before you our weakness, self-centeredness, and coldness of heart. You know the chaos we bring through the sins in our lives. We make poor choices and engage in destructive habits. We deny our baptism and ignore our responsibilities as disciples of Jesus. Hear our cries of repentance and turn our lives around, that we may know the wonder of forgiveness and be restored to the peace of relationship with you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Pardon Pastor

Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
Almighty God, we confess our own arrogance and pride. We neglect to praise you; we forget to give thanks; we rely on our own understanding more than on your wisdom and grace. Distractions keep us from honoring you. False hope and busyness crowd out times of prayer. Forgive our sins, cleanse us from guilt, and restore our confidence in the salvation offered to us by Christ. Show us how to encourage one another to persevere through trials, in full assurance of your love and mercy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This is the covenant I will make with them, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds. Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more…We have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 10:10, 15-17

Unison Prayer of Confession
Eternal God of Grace, your will is made known to us through the teachings of the saints, through your holy word, and through the action of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. Yet we respond with indifference and disobedience. You command us to love, but we allow selfishness, pride, and fear to control us. We depend on human understanding, instead of trusting you. Have mercy on us and forgive our shortcomings. As we seek you, may we find you and draw near to your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
