Prelude Lighting of the Candles
Opening Scripture Sentence: If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water… whoever drinks the water I give will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give will become in you a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
John 4:10 and 13-14

Call to Confession
Eternal God, you call your children into relationship with you. Yet we confess that we have turned to our own ways and refused your love and grace. We are ashamed of our sins. We complain and quarrel with you; we rebel against your wisdom. Hear our confessions and cover us with your grace. Restore us to the joy of knowing you and of recognizing your reign among us, through Jesus Christ. Amen.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Pardon Pastor
God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. We have now been justified by his blood… we are reconciled to God through the death of his Son. We rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have received reconciliation. Romans 5:8-11

I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship. Our offering is an act of worship in which we express our gratitude and reliance on God.
