God of Wisdom, our choices deny you. Although you offer springs of living water from the depths of your love, we drink from the shallow waters of instant gratification. We avoid the sacrifice and service that build true character; we do not put you first in our lives. You made us in goodness to be your delight. Recall us now to awe and wonder, forgive our sins, and guide us in the ways of truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
