Prelude Lighting of the Candles
Opening Scripture Sentence: O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! Psalm 8:1
*Opening Prayer Pastor
*Call to Worship Responsive Reading, from Psalm 8
Leader: On this Trinity Sunday, we come to praise the Triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!
All: O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! We praise God who creates, redeems, and sustains all creation.
Leader: God has set his glory above the heavens. From the lips of children, He has ordained praise. When we consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars which You have set in place, what is man that You are mindful of him, the son of man that You care for him?
All: You made us a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned us with glory and honor. You made us rulers over the works of Your hands; You put everything under our feet.
Leader: As we encounter the depths of the God’s mystery, the One-in-Three and the Three-in-One, we witness a divine dance of partnership.
All: We are invited to join the divine work of the God who creates, redeems, and sustains all there is. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! Let us worship Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
Creator God, You looked upon all You created and called it good. Yet even in that goodness, we get it wrong. We confess that we live without acknowledging Your mystery and power. We distance ourselves from Your presence. We fail to imitate Your grace and mercy. We are unwilling to embrace the love You have shown us in Jesus Christ. We do not live in the partnership of divine community that You desire for all creation. Forgive us, we pray, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Pardon Pastor
The mercy of God the Father is from everlasting to everlasting. I declare to you in the name of Jesus Christ, Savior and Redeemer, you are forgiven. By the power of the Holy Spirit, you are sustained in eternal life, a new creation. This is the divine partnership of the threefold God.
