Prelude Lighting of the Candles
Opening Scripture Sentence: Is anything too hard for the Lord? (Genesis 18:14)… Sarah said, “God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.” (Genesis 21:6) I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live. (Psalm 116:1-2)
*Opening Prayer Pastor
*Call to Worship Responsive Reading, Psalm 100

Leader: Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
All: For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
Merciful and Just God, we fail to realize that you are always with us. We deny your law by our failure to live by it; we deny your love by our failure to love others. We may complain or scoff at the answers to our own prayers, not recognizing them as your work. Forgive us for being more burdened than joyful in the midst of the wondrous gift of life you offer. Teach us, instead, to proclaim the good news of your dominion. May your love tend all of us, day by day, redeeming us and transforming us into the image of Christ. In His name, Amen.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Pardon Pastor
Hope does not disappoint us because God has poured his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit… God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:5,8
