Opening Scripture Sentence: Therefore, I urge you, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Romans 12:1
*Opening Prayer Pastor
*Call to Worship Responsive Reading from Psalms 124 and 138
Leader: Our help is from God, who made heaven and earth. Come to worship the One who answers our prayers.
All: Oh Lord, you have exalted above all things your name and your word. When I called, you answered me. You made me bold and stouthearted.
Leader: If God were not on our side, we could not live. If God were not for us, we would be swept away. Though the Lord is on high, he looks upon the lowly, but the proud he knows from afar.
All: Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; with your right hand, you save me. The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me. Your love, O Lord, endures forever – do not abandon the works of your hands. In worship, may we discern God’s will and be transformed by his Spirit.

Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
Almighty God, we fail to see ourselves in truth when we look at life from a vantage point of selfishness and pride. We think we are poor when we cannot have everything we want. We do not realize that at times we are the rich oppressors of others. When we are tempted to conform to the world’s standards, set before us the higher model of sacrifice and service that is given to us in Jesus. Forgive our sins in his holy name, Amen.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Pardon Pastor
If the Lord was not for us, we would be forever ensnared in our sins. He has given us Jesus as the Rock of our salvation. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life is gone; a new life has begun. In Christ, you are forgiven and transformed.
*Hymn of the Month Give of Your Best to the Master No. 422

Our Giving to the Lord Pastor
We bring our offerings as an act of worship, giving glory to God. We give of our finances, but also of ourselves as living sacrifices, according to the gifts God has given us. We give generously, diligently, and cheerfully for the benefit of His body on earth and His kingdom in heaven.
